Chromer Sport Fishing is built on the
idea that no matter how many fish you catch,
fishing with friends makes a day better.

Guide relaxing by the river Guides celebrating on the riverbank

We're not big on bravado. We're big on helping you feel confident, connected, and completely stoked to be on the water.

Whether we're fishing with you in our wild coastal homewaters or connecting you with the right people all across British Columbia, our goal is the same: get you fishing with good people.

Chromer Sport Fishing came to life in 2006. The goal was simple, to bring together a group of guides and lodges that we knew well and offer their services. Since then we’ve had thousands of people plan their BC fishing trips with us (thank you!) and have built our fly fishing guide service in Vancouver to be one of the most respected and popular in British Columbia. More than anything its a passion project, we love BC, we love fishing and we love sharing both with people like you.

Our Values

What We're Made Of

We don't need to say much to prove who we are. You'll feel it in the way our guides show up: humble, honest, and genuinely glad to be out there with you. Our values aren't just words on a page. They're tied into every handshake, every riverbank story, every cast shared with a good crew.

People First

Not just another day, Chromer is about the bond between guide and guest. Every trip is rooted in real conversation, shared laughs, and moments that bring people closer to each other and the experience.

Humility

We’re not here to show off. We’re here to show up. Chromer guides are grounded, genuine, and just as happy to be on the water as you. Every day of guiding (even in the rain) is exactly where we want to be.

This is Fun

Some folks take fishing pretty seriously. That’s not really our MO. We do take everything else seriously, especially the craft of guiding, but fishing feels good, we’re here to make sure that feeling is what you remember and we don’t mind working our feathers off for it.

Our History

Two Decades In:
There’s no substitute for experience.

It has been said that the key to achieving true expertise in any skill is simply a matter of practicing, albeit in the correct way, for at least 10,000 hours. We’ve passed that, and lapped it a few times. We’ve also weathered a few storms along the way, honed the art of guiding, seen it all and could write a novel on some of the crazy stories that come with this line of work. There are plenty of great fishing guides in British Columbia but fewer who have spent the days on the water that the Chromer team has.

We can confidently say that our depth of experience shines through in every trip. Not only from a fishing standpoint, but from managing your day, making sure our clients are comfortable, that the day is suited to you. We can read a room; get technical, work on casting or just offer you a hand as you wade down the bank. Our experience has also been a key component to our safety program, something we pride ourselves in and something that is at the forefront of each of our guided trips.

What Folks
Are Saying About Us

After 20 years, it turns out we’re pretty good at this. Hell, Trip Advisor tells us every year that we’re excellent. And while we’re proud of that, at the end of the day what matters most is what people take away from our time together. That’s why we do it.
