Enjoy the private and comfortable setting of this lodge situated along the waterfront in Masset in BC’s Queen Charlotte Islands. Masset is about a two hour flight north from Vancouver. An intimate lodge, accommodating only 12 guests at a time, it has all the facilities to make your fishing trip a cozy and comfortable one.

A dining area and beautiful upper level lounge offer a spectacular view over the water. The upper deck and hot tub are a favorite for guests who want to relax at the end of a great day fishing. This lodge has a games room including a pool table, poker table, big screen, and wet bar in a very fun and spacious environment.

During the evenings guests gather around the fire pit and cleaning stations to enjoy cocktails and appetizers and celebrate the days catch. Bedrooms at the lodge are very spacious with each having its own ensuite bathroom.

Haida Gwaii. also known as the Queen Charlotte Islands, is home to the best salmon and halibut fishing grounds anywhere in the world. Sounds like a bold statement, but it’s true as this is the first major feeding station for salmon coming off the open Pacific ocean in search of food on their migratory paths home.

Salmon here are at the prime of their lives; big, aggressive, healthy and hungry. This fishing lodge boasts many fish in the 40′s, 50′s and 60′s along with their record, a 73 pounder!

Halibut fishing is solid in Haida Gwaii from early May to late September. The local halibut fishing grounds are located about a 30 minute run from the lodge.

The lodge’s guides don’t mess around when it comes to halibut fishing, they use top of the line equipment, along with proven techniques, to maximize your fishing success and enjoyment of the fight. There is also some very good bottom fishing in the area for ling cod, yellow eyed rockfish and other critters of the deep. You’ll usually find these while halibut fishing.

Head guide and lodge owner, Danny “Sea Bass” Escott, has earned his reputation as one of Haida Gwaii’s finest fishing guides.
