You'll be surprised to find that this is an easy river to wade
with miles and miles of fishable water. This combined with
aggressive steelhead that range from 5 to 25 pounds is what makes
the Bulkley River such a pleasure to fish. The lodge's
jetboats easily cover the river's best locations and drifts on
the Bulkley's canyon stretches will have you into spots inaccessible
to many other anglers and outfitters. |

Frontier Farwest Steelhead Lodge is because of the remote river camps they offer in addition to the main lodge accommodations. These camps are based in the Bulkley River canyon, where much of the most exceptional steelhead water can be found. There is no more genuine Canadian wilderness fishing experience than the four day drift trips through the canyon and overnight stays at the remote camps. With limited rod days on this stretch of water it's important to book early before they fill up. The river lends itself to all styles of fishing, although Frontier Farwest Steelhead Lodge is a strictly flyfishing operation that prides itself in being completely catch and release.
