The Fishing
The Queen Charlotte Islands, known as Haida Gwaii, are home to the
best West Coast salmon fishing anywhere on the Pacific. Sounds like
a big title, but a trip to Escott Sportfishing will make you a believer.
At Escott Sportfishing they pride themselves on providing their guests
with the finest in guides and equipment. Head guide, Danny "Sea
Bass" Escott, has earned his reputation as one of the Queen
Charlottes best guides by consistently getting his guests into big
salmon and huge halibut. Danny and his guides are professional, courteous
and work hard to get you into the insane salmon fishing that can
only be found in their local waters.
Enjoy the comfort of the Grady White boats that Escott Sportfishing
runs while you cruise in search of trophy Chinook (King) salmon and
Coho (Silver) salmon. There are also Chum, Sockeye and Pink salmon
that migrate through these waters, as well as big halibut and abundant
bottom fish.
For wildlife viewing the Queen Charlottes are often regarded as the Galapagos
of the North. Families of Humpback, Grey and Orca whales as well as dolphins
and other marine life call these waters home. Deer, bears and eagles are often
seen on shore. First Nations culture and history is also prevalent around Masset
and throughout the Queen Charlotte Islands.
Want nonstop saltwater salmon fishing action? Look no further. Escott Sportfishing

The Accomodation
The spacious, bright, newly built waterfront guest house will
be home while fishing in the Queen Charlotte Islands. As far as fishing
lodges go, this is a small and intimate one that only accommodates
12 anglers at any one time. Large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms
sleep two anglers. The lounge and the hotub are perfect places to
relax after a day on the water before you sit down for a gourmet
West Coast cuisine dinner.
