Bell 2 Lodge is located on the Bell Irving River, about 1000 miles north of Vancouver. This is as remote of a location as one can find in British Columbia and home to some of the most prolific steelhead fishing in North America.

The lodge's location lends well to its guests having the opportunity to fish a variety of rivers. The Bell Irving River, the Upper Nass River, the Bear River, the Craig River, the Damdochax River and the Mezaidin River are all accessed by helicopter or jetboat by the guides of Bell 2 Lodge. Prime steelhead season starts when the fish move into the system in early September and continues through to late October.

Bell 2 Lodge focuses the majority of their fishing on the Bell Irving River, which is right at the lodge's doorstep and on the Nass River, which is accessed by helicopter only. The Nass River is a steelheader's dream with long runs, big water, the chance and big fish and very limited pressure with only two or three anglers daily. This is spey fishing for steelhead at its finest with beautiful pieces of quality water, perfect for skating dries or swinging wets. Anglers can expect two to three hookups per day when conditions are right.

Serious steelhead anglers regard this area to have some of the finest steelhead fish found in the world. Fully guided, all-inclusive packages offer fly fishermen the chance to fish remote world-class rivers that receive very little angling pressure and provide a quality experience like no other. These all inclusive packages include seven days of guided fishing (two of which are heli-fishing), return ground transportation from Terrace, meals and accommodations.

The Accomodation

Bell 2 Lodge holds a Canada Select rating of 4 stars and has recently been renovated and refurbished. It offers all the comforts consummate traveling anglers come to expect. Each room within the chalets are spacious with either two queen size beds or one king size bed, private bathroom, wood-burning fireplace, telephone and Internet connection. All fishing packages include single rooms.
The lodge's main lounge, dining room and bar are great places to talk steelhead fishing, relax over a cocktail and enjoy some of the wonderful cuisine the chefs at Bell 2 Lodge are known for creating. Packages include all meals, consisting of buffet breakfasts, pack lunches and gourmet dinners.

After a long day on the water relax in the hot tub or sauna, play a game of pool, enjoy a massage or just relax in the guest lounge. Although your days will be spent in the rugged wild of BC's steelhead country when back at the lodge, you'll be far from roughing it!
