This is a lodge we guided at for a long time and we highly recommend this trip. Here are the rates and dates for our Rivers Inlet salmon fishing packages…

Dates:  Trips are offered from early July to late August.

Short Trip:  $3195 CDN per person
Three days of fishing with three nights accommodation.

Long Trip:  $3495 CDN per person
Four days of fishing with four nights accommodation.

Inclusions:  Round-trip airfare from Vancouver to Rivers Inlet. Unlimited self-guided fishing. Home cooked meals. All gear, bait, fish care and packaging.

Non-Inclusions:  HST Tax 12%. Fishing license. Gratuities.

Nestled in a quiet bay near the mouth of Rivers Inlet is where you’ll be staying at a truly unique and beautiful floating fishing lodge.

This is a family owned lodge that has been operating for over 25 years and guests returning year after year for the not only the great fishing but for the warm atmosphere. Over the years the lodge has grown and expanded and it can now accommodate up to 30 guests.

Each comfortable cedar bedroom has two double beds, a private 3- piece bathroom and private entrance. All rooms are double occupancy with several triple occupancy rooms available for groups with odd numbers.

The lounge is a great place to relax and although alcohol is not included, bottles can be purchased and labeled at liquor store prices. Guests will enjoy buffet dining each day, with a hot breakfast, lunch and hearty dinner.

River Inlet is located on the central coast of British Columbia, about 300 miles north of Vancouver. It is as remote of a location as one can find, with no roads, no crowds and accessed only by float plane.

Rivers Inlet is home to the largest chinook (king) salmon in the world and has long been an angling destination because of this title. Today Rivers Inlet has healthy salmon fishing, solid bottom fishing and increasingly good halibut fishing.  If you’re looking for a trophy chinook (king) salmon, then Rivers Inlet is a great bet!

The lodge is located a short boat run to some of British Columbia’s most famous fishing sports including the “Wall”, “Jackson’s Hole and the “Dome”. Ask anyone who has fished Rivers Inlet and they’ll talk of these legendary spots.

The calm waters, pleasant temperatures and consistently nice summer weather is one of the area’s true draws, as many other spots on the coast don’t enjoy these luxuries. The lodge’s set up of self-guided fishing allows you unlimited fishing time on the water from dawn until dusk.

Rivers Inlet was where I  started working in 1996.  I was 16 years old and got a job as a dockboy, scrubbing and fuelling boats and cutting fish. It was my first experience working at a fishing lodge and I wanted nothing more than to start guiding.

The next year I started guiding. I was definitely wasn’t the best guide but I loved being on the water, it gave me a chance to fish everyday and I liked having guests to chat with all day in the boat. After several years of guiding an old guest recalled a story of one of the first big fish I guided for him, “you were way more excited than me”.  Probably true, guiding in Rivers Inlet was a blast, you never knew when a hog was going to suck back your cutplug bait!

Although I no longer guide in Rivers Inlet, I will be happy to get you into a great trip there and give you some insight into the package and when you’ll want to go.
