- While enjoying our Kamloops flyfishing trips you will be staying at a beautiful Bed & Breakfast located on the Thompson River. All rooms are queen or king beds, river views, private washrooms and wireless internet. At the end of a day fishing sit on the dock and watch the river as it meanders past or relax in the hot tub. A hot entree breakfast will start your day off right and a hearty homemade dinner will be waiting for you when you get off the water. For larger groups we also provide hotel accommodation in Kamloops.
- World Class Lake Fishing
- The lakes of the Kamloops area are some of the most nutrient rich in North America and produce the largest rainbow trout in Canada. The combination of climate, lake geography, aquatic life, yearly temperatures and insect hatches make for the perfect combination to produce big trophy sized fish. Lake fishing in Kamloops usually kicks off in May when the ice comes of the area lakes and trout begin feeding heavily. The warm temperatures of mid summer usually slow down fishing but it picks up again in the fall as trout start gorging before the upcoming winter.
- About Kamloops
- Kamloops is located about a 5 hour drive from Vancouver. The town is built on the banks of the Thompson River and has long been a destination for trout anglers in the spring and steelhead anglers in the fall. Kamloops has an airport, a variety of hotels and is also popular with golfers because of the multitude of area golf courses and the sunny warm summer weather. Summer temperatures in Kamloops can reach over 40 degrees celcius!
