BC Grizzly Bear Safari

We understand each of our clients has different requests when it come to planning their trip. These Grizzly Bear Safari trips are completely customized to your desires, to fit your budget and can be tailored to any group size.

Pricing Starts at: $2450 CDN per person. This price would be for two anglers, two days of fishing, one day grizzly safari and four nights accommodation.

Dates: August to October. Prime fishing is August and September while prime bear viewing is October and early November.

What’s Included: Guided salmon fishing in Campbell River. Full-day grizzly bear safari. Campbell River oceanside accommodations.

Chromer Sport Fishing has designed these safaris to be totally seamless adventures that allow for flexibility and easy travel planning. When you book your trip we’ll send you a customized itinerary, filled with travel info, directions and everything you need for a fun and easy trip.

Getting There:  Driving to Campbell River is an easy trip that includes a beautiful 2 hour ferry ride and a 2 hour drive along well marked highways. We’ll provide you with maps, ferry info and driving directions for your trip.

The Safaris:  The grizzly safaris leave right from the main marina in Campbell River. You’ll spend a full day travelling by boat to Bute Inlet viewing grizzly bears from boat and land. You can also add a day of whale watching if you’d like.

The Fishing:  Our charter boat leaves from the same marina as the safaris, so that’s one less thing to hassle about. You’ll fish with Campbell River’s top salmon guide and fish will be cleaned and packed for your trip home.

A comfortable 1.5 hour run from Campbell River brings you to majestic Bute Inlet. This is where wild Grizzly bears can be viewed from the boat and from secure viewing towers located on land. Knowledgeable guides talk about bear behavior while the stunning scenery of the Coast Mountains surround you. Tours are approximately seven hours long.

While on your Grizzly Bear & Salmon Fishing Adventure you’ll be fishing aboard fully equipped Grady White boats with Campbell River’s top guides. Campbell River enjoys a long sun-soaked fishing season and the protected waters are perfect for all anglers. Included in this package are full days of guided salmon fishing, all equipment and care of catch.

All packages include seaside accommodations tailored to you and your group’s needs. Most accommodations are at an oceanside bed & breakfast but you can also choose from a variety of hotels or even upgrade to a private vacation rental home. Let us know what works best for your group.
