For Your Vancouver Island Steelhead Tour
Your trip begins in Vancouver where your Chromer Sport Fishing host will meet you. From there we’ll take the ferry over to Vancouver Island. The next six days are spent touring the Island's most prolific steelhead rivers. Tours start off by fishing the central Island and the Gold River. We then move north to fish the untouched steelhead rivers on Vancouver Island’s northern tip.

While on central Vancouver Island we are based out of Gold River & Campbell River where seaside accommodations are waiting. While on the northern part of the Island newly built private cabins will be all yours.

Vancouver Island Winter Steelhead Tours are offered from December through April although steelhead fishing really picks up starting in early February. There is a limited amount of these private tours so call us today and we’ll give you more details on dates available and exact itineraries.

We’ll tour you through central and northern Vancouver Island and get you into pristine and prime steelhead rivers. You’ll drift rivers with Vancouver Island’s finest steelhead guides searching for winter chrome on these flexible, fully hosted fishing tours.

The Gold River, located on central Vancouver Island, is easily one of British Columbia's most famous winter steelhead fisheries! Spend two days drifting the Gold River with our friendly guides who know the river and work hard to put you on the fish. If the fishing is hot on the Gold we may stay an extra day on it before heading to northern Vancouver Island.
